OK folks, as I do every year heading into fall/winter, I put out notice that it is time to start getting serious if you are wanting to do performance work to your Hawk during winter. Now is the time to put in your orders for pistons, headwork, cams, rods, etc etc, and to get in line if you want me to do an engine build for you. Typically by November-ish I am well booked up, and my machinist gets booked up to. For you racers, it is especially important to get moving now, if you have Daytona intentions in February. That doesn't mean send the engine now of course, but with 4-6 week lead times on things like crankwork, custom valves, and rods, it helps to get things going now so that the parts are on hand when needed.
